How Do We Accomplish This?

Manufacturability Review—throughout the design process, our design engineers provide prototypes and manufacturability feedback to minimize scrap and manufacturing costs once the product reached production. We take pride in our comprehensive “prototype-to-production” support.

Value Stream Mapping—first, we define the project and its elements.  Next, we determine areas of responsibility and assign them to the appropriate experts.  Our team also identifies continuous improvement opportunities, and documents those ideas for discussion with the customer.

Project Planning—we start by creating a detailed plan that encompasses all the steps and actions needed to complete the project. The next objective is to determine the milestones and corresponding deadlines. Our third step is to establish accountability for each milestone, both internally and externally.  We utilize MS Project, EPICOR MRP, and custom project timelines to drive accountability and performance.  This is an invaluable tool for defining critical paths and communicating progress to customers and vendors.

Program Reviews—we create a process of consistent and timely overview throughout all program phases. At regular intervals, our team meets to review and discuss program objectives and current status.  During those scheduled review meetings, we brainstorm ideas for improvement and execution.  These ideas are tracked on a Running Action Item List (RAIL).  The RAIL not only tracks ideas and open issues, but also accountability for each action item—which is a key factor for excellence in execution.

Communication—we continually strive to put ourselves in our customers’ shoes.  We keep clients informed of project status and updated delivery, and if circumstances arise that could create a potential delay, we proactively present options and discuss a recovery plan.  The use of tracking Gantt charts and a Running Action Item List (RAIL) keeps our customers informed and establishes clear paths to successful execution.
